3rd F150 Since 2000 - 2004 Ford F-150 Heritage
By woodlandcircle - November 25 - 10:00 amMy first F150 was an XLT model, fully loaded, after an accident my replacement F150 was the same. Last year I purchased a 2003 Taurus, but couldnt stand being without a truck, So I jumped at the chanced to get a 2004 Heritage with all the rebates. Although this is an XL model I am getting used to crank windows and no tilt steering. Other than that, It is a refined version of the earlier models with a better ride and quieter interior. And you just cant beat the deal. $12,000 after rebates. It figures, Ford gets it right, then quits making it!

Best vehicle buy Ive ever made - 2004 Ford F-150 Heritage
By BB - July 21 - 2:03 pmBought new in Dec. 2004 when the Heritages had big discounts. Cost 20k new. 67,000 miles now, one blown fuse. Less than a buck in total repairs! 4.6 has more power than I need. Pulls boat with ease. Lived in MN, 55 mph speed limit, got 17-18mpg on the road. Moved to SD, 75mph speed limit on interstate, 65 on 2 lane hiways. Really sucks gas at 75mph, down to 12-13mpg. At 65mph it gets 15-16. Just a quirk of the engine- tranny combination I guess. Put bigger- 265-75-16 tires on at 40k to replace the too small 235-70-16 tires it came with. Much better. Trouble free truck, great to drive, 4wd great in snow. Squeak in the dash the only minor annoyance. Best vehicle buy of my life-Im 62

Great Truck-Great Value - 2004 Ford F-150 Heritage
By Zebo - June 19 - 10:00 amGot the truck at a great deal, about $9000 off MSRP. Traded a sluggish 2002 4 cyl GMC Sonoma for it. Great acceleration, solid build & frame. The ride is smooth and the clutch is firm. It handles really well over the road and around corners. From a 26 year olds perspective, it has a great look for the money->sturdy rear leaf springs give it an aggressive look (doesnt look like the typical low end work truck). I get about 17-18 mpg but I am going to see how that improves with future improvements of toneau cover/exhaust system->that isnt too bad since "I drive it!!!" Overall, Id pick this Ford over the comparable Chevy, Dodge, and Toyota!

Unbelievable Reliability - 2004 Ford F-150 Heritage
By Big John - June 30 - 2:26 amI cant say enough about this truck. I bought new in 7/04 and now have 58,000m, and as of 4/09, I had a blinker lightbulb go out. THATs IT FOR REPAIRS!!!! I changed tires and redid the brakes as was necessary due to wear and tear, but otherwise...not a single problem (other than a lightbulb) in almost 60,000 miles. Not even a squeek problem. If you can find this as a used truck, I would GO FOR IT. I long hauled my boat and at other times my trailer, and had NO PROBLEMS towing them over mountains etc. More than enough power on my 4.6L Triton V-8. Who needs the bigger V-8? Not me!!! One of the few truely quality items I have ever had the joy to own in my entire lifetime. (Im 56).

By CoachCJ40 - May 26 - 10:00 amFound On Road Dead? No way is this what FORD stands for. The Ford F-150 Heritage is a great truck to celebrate 100 years in automotive industry. The vehicle handles well, is well-designed, and is great for making hauls. Ford continues to outshine and outperform all other brands with vehicles like this. Congrats, Ford, on a job well done!

6Cyl Auto - 2004 Ford F-150 Heritage
By Mobile Detailer - September 5 - 10:00 amI bought this truck specifically for pulling my work trailer. At around 3500 pounds w/ 2 tanks of water, the trailer was a bit much for my 3.0 6 Cyl. Ranger. The F150 Heritage and its torquey V6 pulls it with no problems. Towing on the highway ia a breeze. The 4 wheel ABS Disc Brakes work great, even with the weight. Great affordability and hey...Its a Ford.
